Integrated centre to offer patients the
convenience of
medical and dental treatments in a single
facility
Singapore, Thursday, 27 July 2006 – Main-board listed
Pacific Healthcare Holdings Ltd. (“Pacific Healthcare”),
one of Singapore’s leading healthcare groups, today
officially opened its latest integrated medical centre.
Occupying the entire 19th level of Paragon in Orchard Road,
this 14,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art facility offers patients
the convenience of receiving a wide range of medical and
dental care in a one-stop centre and complements Pacific
Healthcare’s existing specialist centres located
on the 12th and 20th levels.
The centre was established at a cost of S$3.2 million
and with its inauguration, Pacific Healthcare now operates
56,000 sq ft of medical space within Orchard Road.

The
centre combines the highest level of specialist healthcare
with patient-focused comfort and hospitality. Co-located
at the new premise is Pacific Healthcare’s International
Medical Assistance Centre manned by experienced patient
relations officers ensuring prompt attention, information
on specialists, appointments, hospital admissions as
well as concierge services. It also doubles as a business
centre
offering busy executives secretarial & business
support services while waiting for their friends and
loved ones.
This latest specialist centre adds to Pacific Healthcare’s
existing integrated network of more than 50 facilities,
including medical and dental clinics, specialist
centres, day surgery facilities, diagnostic imaging centres,
and
nursing homes. The Group also has operations in Hong
Kong and India and will be commencing operations in China
by
the end of the year.

The services offered at the centre include:
Age Management
The clinic’s consultant, Dr Julinda Lee, focuses
on issues associated with ageing, such as hormonal changes
and declining vitality and seeks to improve one’s
quality of life through lifestyle modification, supplementation
and hormonal modulation. It also provides assessment
of risk factors for major diseases such as heart disease,
strokes, cancer and diabetes.
Dermatology
The practice offers dermatology services including treatment
of general skin ailments and skin cancer surveillance.
Dr Patricia Yuen also specialises in the treatment
of skin pigmentation, scars and wrinkles using the
latest
lasers
and radiofrequency techniques. Complementary procedures
such as botox, fillers, peels and microdermabrasion
are also offered.
Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry
The clinic, headed by Dr William Chong, offers both
cosmetic and implant dentistry with various treatment
options
such as tooth whitening, porcelain restorations,
gum recontouring,
dental implants and bone regeneration. Using the
latest CEREC (Ceramic Reconstruction) technology, patients
will be able to receive their porcelain fillings,
crowns
and
veneers in a single visit.
Hand, Wrist & Microsurgery
Specialising in microsurgical techniques for common

Looi Kok Poh also offers services for reconstruction

Paediatrics
iKids Paediatrician, Dr Irene Chan provides

Plastic Surgery
Dr Andrew Tay is a plastic & reconstructive surgeon
and practises both surgical and non-surgical
approaches to cosmetic surgery. This includes breast

liposuction, face and brow-lifts, botox,
fillers and the use of lasers and radiofrequency for
skin rejuvenation.
Respiratory Medicine
Dr Hui Kok Pheng, a respiratory specialist
and intensivist, manages a range of respiratory
disorders

asthma, persistent coughs, sleep apnoea,
pneumonia, tuberculosis
and influenza. He is a strong advocate
of techniques for the early detection
of lung
cancer.
