Foetal
Viability Scan - 6 to 10 weeks
Using this trans-vaginal ultrasound scan, we are able to
determine if the pregnancy is situated within the uterus and
progressing as it should. It can also be used to exclude an
early pregnancy failure, identify multiple pregnancies and
determine a more accurate expected delivery date. The scan is
recommended for women who are experiencing bleeding or cramps in
pregnancy or have had previous miscarriages or ectopic
pregnancies.
Nuchal
Scan - 11 to 14 weeks
The Nuchal Scan is a non-invasive ultrasound scan that, when
coupled with the blood levels of the mother's pregnancy
hormones, can be used to provide a First Trimester Screen for
Down Syndrome. It is recommended for women who want a better
risk assessment of their chance of having a Down Syndrome baby
at whatever age they are at during the time of their pregnancy.
Foetal
Anomaly Scan - 16 to 24 weeks
This is a detailed scan that examines the structural and
anatomical development of the fetus. Emphasis is placed on the
brain, face, spine, heart, stomach, kidneys and limbs.
Foetal
Well-being Scan - 24 to 42 weeks
This scan assesses the fetal growth and health by observing:
